Project Introduction

The 188B visa is a four-year temporary residence visa for professionals who specialize in various investment activities (stocks, funds, futures, etc.). This visa does not require the applicant to have a business, but requires the applicant to have certain investment experience and experience, and obtain certain benefits from it. There are no mandatory requirements for the main applicant’s education and English.

Application Requirements

At least 3 years of successful investment management background

Business or household net worth of at least A$2.5 million in the 2 financial years preceding the application

Prove that the applicant has excellent investment skills (investment is profitable)

Participate in the management of investments worth more than A$2.5 million in at least one of the five financial years prior to the application, or hold more than 10% of the company's shares

Agree to make a compliant investment of $2.5 million prior to visa approval

Score of 65 points (*scoring criteria include business experience, capital, English ability, etc.)

Application Process

You must give us an Expression of Interest (EOI), be nominated by a State or Territory, and then be invited to apply.

You will need to prove your identity, and provide documents about your business and assets. You also need to provide documents about family members applying with you.
