Vistor Visa

This visa stream lets you visit Australia as a tourist, to see family and friends or for purposes other than business or medical treatment.

Resident Return visa

If you leave Australia after your travel validity expires, or it expires when you are outside Australia, you will not be able to return to Australia as a permanent resident. This visa allows you to return as a permanent resident.

Temporary Activity visa – (COVID-19 Pandemic event)

This temporary visa lets you stay in Australia to work if you are employed or have an offer of employment in a key sector or any other sector of the economy.

Bridging visa

This temporary visa generally allows you to stay in Australia after your current substantive visa ceases and while your new substantive visa application is being processed.

ART Review Appeals

The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), which replaced the AAT, independently reviews certain visa decisions. If your visa application is refused or your visa is cancelled, you may be eligible to apply to the ART within the required timeframe. This gives you an opportunity to provide supporting evidence, explain your circumstances and have the original decision independently reconsidered.

CoE Cancellation

COE stands for Confirmation of Enrolment and is the official and valid certification for international students to prove to the Department of Home Affairs that they are studying in Australia.

Show Cause

Students are asked to Show Cause after they have two unsatisfactory semesters in their program. A semester is usually considered unsatisfactory because half or more courses (subjects) were failed, or because a course was failed for a 2nd time (failing a placement course also makes a semester unsatisfactory).

Visa Expired

If your visa has expired within the past 28 days, there are different options available to you. The Department of Home Affairs offers a 28 day ‘grace period’ during which time you can generally apply for another type of visa without being subject to the 3 year exclusion period.
