About Us

Liz Legal Pty Ltd was established in Melbourne, Australia, in 2013 by Dr Yongqiang Li who holds Professorships in China and India. The firm currently has 10 lawyers, including:
Managing Partner, Hongfei Chen: Specialising in banking and finance, corporate listings in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and NASDAQ in the U.S., and international compliance. Dual practising licenses in Australia and China.

Professor Yongqiang Li: Expertise in tax law, immigration law, intellectual property law, international law and arbitration, corporate governance, and compliance. Dr Siyu Tao: Specialist in commercial law, international trade law, and WTO law. Hui Wang: Expertise in property law and commercial law. Miaoli Du: Specialising in labour law and intellectual property law. Rong Xu: Specialist in Chinese law and registered foreign lawyer in Australia. Paris Verdad: Graduate Lawyer focusing on compliance and board governance. Xiang Qiu: Graduate Lawyer specialising in marketing, social media, and digital technology. Zhaorui Peng: Graduate Lawyer with expertise in Chinese law. Soumyajit Mohanty: Graduate Lawyer focusing on technology law and Indian law.

Of these, five lawyers hold master’s or doctoral degrees, with two serving as PhD supervisors. Eight lawyers can provide services in both Chinese and English, while one offers legal services in Indian law. The firm has longstanding collaborations with consulates and chambers of commerce in the Asia-Pacific and Africa regions.
